For Crying Out Loud: Adam Carolla with Natalia & Sonny

Adam CarollaAs the show opens up, the girls reflect on their holiday breaks, and Lynette tells the story of the best New Years Eve she ever had. She also goes on to discuss her side of the ‘spilled champagne’ story, until the Aceman himself comes in to defend his original point. With Adam in studio, Lynette and Stefanie discuss whether or not Adam is cheap, how much the Carollas appreciate each other, and why Adam isn’t going to therapy.

In the second half of the show, Adam switches places with the twins. Stefanie asks Natalia to talk about Katy Perry, and Sonny discusses boxing with his dad. The kids also share their thoughts on TMZ, the dentist, and the different things that Daddy likes to complain about. The show wraps up with stories of Uncle Ray.

  1. Allen Corona says:

Wow, Adam’s got a really pretty girl. No wonder the kids turned out so cute.

  2. Chris says:

Love me some Adam Carolla Show so I tuned in when I saw Adam on For crying out Loud. More Sonny and Natalia!!! Best podcast ever. Hilarious! Stephanie, park proper.

  3. j Manning says:

    Lynette looks like Jackie O.
Beautiful children too. Ace is one lucky man.

  4. Nick says:

    That into song is… interesting.

  5. Randy Miller says:

Lynette, I am only halfway through the podcast and I am ROLLING ON THE FLOOR laughing at my desk. Not lying, I am married to an Adam!! If we have 10 french fries leftover at a restaurant he asks me if I am getting a doggie bag. When Adam was complaining about Stefanie’s parking it reminded me of my husband complaining about my teenage girls and how they park or drive lol. Wait until your kids are of driving age!! My husband (and Adam will too I am sure) complains about their driving, the way they maintain their cars, their boyfriends and friends (he also doesn’t like anyone at first either unless it makes him money). I feel your pain!

  6. Heather says:

The kids are absolutely a-dorable!!!! LOVED having them on!! And the pics w/ Ray w/ the kids?!?! TOO CUTE!!

  7. Julie says:

Adam should come on the show more often especially when he & Lynette differ on an opinion.

    Great show, loved it.

  8. lauren says:

lynette & adam! your kids are adorable.

  9. robx46 says:

    Fodder!

  10. vin says:

I agree with adam. It seems that carrying 4 dollars instead of the cup, and throwing it away is the same.
    More jacuzzi thoughts……………..Let it beginnnnnnnnnnnnnn…………..

  11. Andy Derer says:

I really loved this episode. Happy New Years to Lynette, Stefanie, Adam, Gary, and the kids.

    Andy

  12. bob says:

the whole podcast was 3 people all talking at the same time…..someone pass the asprin

  13. Susie-Q says:

Both kids are adorable, can’t wait to listen to this podcast! Finished the David Wild today and it was really good!

  14. ken says:

“Was that like magic? …did voodoo happen and the computers just programmed themselves?”

lol, what? Men fixed all that, of course. Top men.

    • John says:

That was definitely a head slapper facepalm. Also, not knowing about the Mayan 2012 prophecy? Really?! I take it this Stephanie isn’t exactly Ivy League educated.

  15. trudie says:

jesus, adam can be such a prick. couldn’t help cringing when every time stefanie tried to offer anything, adam immediately shot her down with “you’re wrong.” everyone is wrong because they’re not him. he should probably live alone, he’d be happier. i’m sure he’s a real positive, warm presence otherwise. blech.

    • ken says:

Telling other to shut up is one of the perks when you make all the money.

      • Lorraine says:

Ken, if you really think that you’re a moron.

        • Kristen says:

I agree with Ken and Adam.
          And Stefanie was wrong….as usual.

        • Erin says:

Well if you really listened he wasn’t telling anyone to shut up. He just knows himself and was saying no that is not how he is and was trying to explain his own point of view. She was continually trying to act like she is some psychologist or therapist and knew his inner workings or some deep psychotherapy blah blah. Last time I checked she is not a MFT or Psychologist or PhD.

  16. Bobby says:

I love Adam and his brilliant sense of humor and quick wit. I also love Lynette’s sweet kind maternal vibe. They obviously love each other but for the past year or so I’ve been hearing increasing hostility and tension between them. They have a beautiful family and God I hope they do whatever it takes to keep their marriage together. Not trying to be a doomsayer-I’m just pulling for them for the sake of their kids and they have so much going for them…..Also Ray is the coolest cat ever on any of the podcasts….wild man but great heart.

    • truly says:

I agree. As long as Adam keeps making excuses for not going to therapy, nothing is going to get better. Funny since he spent years telling people to get therapy on Loveline. I liked Stefanie’s attempts to add clarity. Maybe she’s not an actual therapist, but obviously Adam screaming alone isn’t adding anything useful to the discussion. The champagne story made me sick. Adam is very lucky that Lynette’s taste doesn’t happen to include Balenciaga. I personally enjoy hearing Lynette’s rebuttals, but it makes me sad since they do love each other still.

  17. Mama Smith says:

It’s always somehow amusing to hear acouple bicker since it makes you feel not so alone! We don’t have the same arguments since I’m definable the one in the “less waste” camp in my house but we all have our disagreements and few can make them as amusing :)

  18. Mr. Fister says:

Loved the Ace/Lynette banter. So funny

  19. Ric says:

Great show. Therapy will help both Lynette and Adam understand each other…until then…. great podcasts for both…

  20. Monique says:

As someone who rarely comments online, I feel compelled to comment on this podcast, as I am currently doing my best to continue to listen to this episode. I became a big fan of The Parent Experiment about 18months ago when I moved to Australia and was a stay at home mom for a few months. I very much enjoyed listening to the podcasts while I was in my kitchen. The change in format and having to listen to Lynette complain about her husband on a regular basis is losing my interest. I miss The Parent Experiment.

    • jjthejetplane says:

Totally agree! It makes her feel better to bitch and moan about Adam but it has gotten old fast. Has no idea how good she has it.

      • alexandria says:

I like all of the talk with Adam. I listen to Adam’s show everyday and I think his fans love to hear the other side of the story from Lynette.

  21. Alyssa Gf says:

When Adam first came on the show, I was excited. And it started out ok but got to a point and I had to turn it off. The marital bickering with Stephanie trying to play therapist was too much. The first episode of TPE that Adam was on was much better. Better luck next time. An 80′s quiz with the ace man would have been fun.

  22. An says:

I liked Lynette’s rebuttal about the champagne, I always like hearing the other side of the story. But you know Adam NEEDs to embellish things so he can make his home life funny for the sake of the show. But I know this can be exasperating sometimes for Lynette. I think this kind of thing was what made Howard Stern’s wife leave him. Probably best to leave marital disputes off the air. It did get uncomfortable to listen to when Lynette and Adam started throwing in every single dispute they’ve had in the past year. That often happens to married couples…each one gathers ammunition from the past that really isn’t pertinent to the matter at hand. No partnership is perfect, I agree with (I think Stefanie?) who said that each should just accept the quirks of the other person that cannot be changed and move on. Adam, yes, should be happy that he has a wife that actually splurges VERY LITTLE in the scheme of things and Lynette should be happy that Adam is able to show care for his family as he is able. Like he said, Jimmy Kimmel IS divorced, no matter how many gifts and warmth he supposedly exuded. Adam just seems like a more loyal guy, way down deep.

  23. wastudiomom says:

The kids are SO adorable, I cannot wait to listen to the podcast. Seeing the pics reminds me of how much I miss the show. Its totally on my short list of things to do.

  24. carol says:

cute kiddies! but my goodness, stefanie annoys me so much, I want to mute her. everything that comes out of her mouth is like some sort of advice. ugggh.

  25. Lindsey says:

I’m catching up on my podcasts, and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this episode! I loved hearing from the kids, and in all honesty, I thought the bickering was just normal married couple stuff. They were somewhat good natured about it toward the end. Really love the podcast, keep up the good work, ladies (and Gary!)

  26. Lakers says:

more annoying than Hoda&Kathylee…man, do they feel entitled! Telling the person who allows them to yap it up on his network “to go into therapy” is pure impunity.
